With an Installation CD

• 1). Insert the printer installation CD that came with your printer into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
  
  
• 2). Follow the step-by-step installation instructions as they appear on your computer screen.
  
  
• 3). Connect the printer to the computer and turn on the printer when the program asks you to.
  
  
• 4). Print a test page.
  
  

Without an Installation CD

• 1). Go to the website of the company that makes your printer and download the full version of the printer driver (the software).
  
  
• 2). Open the software.
  
  
• 3). Follow Steps 2 through 4 of the section "With an Installation CD."
