• 1). Check the DVD or CD case first if you bought InDesign CS3 as a packaged product. Most times the serial number will be located there. A protective sleeve is sometimes used instead of a case to store the CD or DVD software. If this is how you received the InDesign software, check the sleeve and you will probably find it there.
  
  
• 2). Look at your email. If you digitally download InDesign from Adobe, it will send an order confirmation containing the serial number. Be sure to provide Adobe with your correct email to ensure safe delivery of the serial number and other important information.
  
  
• 3). Sign in to your Adobe account online. When you purchase InDesign CS3 through the Adobe online store and download the software digitally, you have to create an account. Once this is done, you can sign in and retrieve the serial number. Simply navigate to "View Order History," then click "Your Downloads" and find the serial number there.
