- 1). Disconnect the grill from the wall outlet and allow the device to cool. Do not attempt to clean the grill while hot, or connected to an electrical source.
- 2). Position the supplied drip tray in front of the grill and open the clamshell. Scrape of the excess fat and debris on the grilling plates, into the drip tray. Wipe the grilling plates off with clean paper towels, or a soft cloth.
- 3). Discard the debris found in the drip tray. Clean the drip tray thoroughly with soapy water. Release the grilling plates from the device. Soak the grilling plates in warm soapy water. If your particular grill does not feature removable grilling plates, wash the plates carefully with a soaked sponge or the optional George Foreman scrubbing tool; do not allow water to infiltrate the inside of the grill.
- 4). Rinse removable grilling plates with clean water and hand dry with a clean cloth towel, or paper towels. Wipe off any excess soap from fixed-plate models with a wet towel or clean sponge and dry with paper towels or a fresh cloth towel.
- 5). Clean the exterior of the grill with a moist sponge and dry towel before installing the grill plates. Allow the grill to air-dry for several minutes before using the device.
