- 1). Remove all food, beverages and any other items from your fridge and switch it off at the wall socket. If you have a built-in freezer compartment, do this a couple of days in advance to allow it to defrost.
- 2). Mix a solution of one part baking soda to seven parts water. Clean the inside of your fridge with this solution, using a clean cloth to remove any dirt and foods debris.
- 3). Wipe down the inside of the refrigerator and the door seals with white vinegar on a cloth and allow it to dry.
- 4). Prop open the fridge doors using a smooth, flat object such as a book or a 1x4-inch board. This will keep the inside of the fridge dry and help prevent mold from growing.
