Sweeping

• The Swiffer Sweeper is a type of broom that can be used to remove dirt and dust from wood, tile, and vinyl floors and other household surfaces such as shelves and baseboards, according to Swiffer.com. The Swiffer Sweeper features a long handle with a flat surface to which you attach Swiffer Dry Cloths. The Swiffer Dry Cloths will pick up dirt, dust and hair which eliminates the need to use a dustpan.
  
  

Mopping

• The Swiffer WetJet is a type of mop that is best used to clean up messes on finished hardwood, ceramic, laminate, and tile surfaces. The Swiffer WetJet has a long handle where you can insert a container of Swiffer WetJet cleaning solution, and a flat surface where you attach a disposable Swiffer WetJet pad. To use, spray cleaning solution on the floor by pressing the nozzle on the handle, and then use the flat surface to mop.
  
  

Vacuuming

• The Swiffer SweeperVac is a battery-powered, cordless vacuum that works similarly to a broom, according to Swiffer.com. It will vacuum up dirt and dust from wood, tile or vinyl floors, and is not meant for use on carpets.
  
  

Limitations

• Swiffer products are not designed for use on carpets. Any of Swiffer's wet cleaning products such as Swiffer Wet Cloths and Swiffer WetJet should not be used on unfinished, oiled, or waxed wooden floors, or non-sealed tile floors, according to Swiffer.com.
