- 1). Right-click on an empty portion of the Windows XP desktop to open the context menu. Choose "Properties" at the bottom of the menu to open the "Display Properties" window.
- 2). Click on the "Screen Saver" tab located in the center of the window tabs. This will open the screensaver selection page.
- 3). Choose "My Pictures Slideshow" from the drop-down menu located beneath the preview image of a computer monitor. The "Apply" button will become clickable when you make your selection, so click it in order to lock in your choice.
- 4). Click the "Settings" button next to the drop-down menu to open a new window where you can customize the way that the screensaver operates. You can adjust the speed at which the pictures change, the size they will be displayed, the folder that the screensaver uses to find images, and you can set additional display options as well. Click the "OK" button to accept the settings changes.
- 5). Click the "Preview" button to make sure that the screensaver is displaying the images the way that you prefer. Set the amount of time that the computer will wait before launching the screensaver, then click the "OK" button to close the "Display Properties" window.
