- 1). Insert a blank diskette into the "A:" drive.
- 2). Double-click the "My Computer" icon from the desktop.
- 3). Right-click the "A:" drive from the list of drives. Select the "Format" option from the drop-down menu.
- 4). Check the "Create an MS-DOS Start-up Disk" box in the "Format" menu and press "Start."
- 1). Load Windows and insert the Windows 2000 CD into the CD-ROM drive.
- 2). Double-click the "My Computer" icon from the desktop.
- 3). Double-click the icon representing the CD drive in the "My Computer" directory.
- 4). Locate the folder named "BOOTDISK" on the Windows 2000 CD.
- 5). Double-click the "makeboot.exe" program and choose "OK" to launch the boot diskette maker.
- 6). Follow the instructions from the Makeboot application. You will be prompted to insert a total of four diskettes during the course of the program.
