- 1). Remove the contents of the tackle box before cleaning. Take this opportunity to organize and inspect the tackle for the upcoming fishing season.
- 2). Make a soapy solution in a small container with warm water and liquid soap. Dip a rag in the mixture and wipe down the interior of the tackle box.
- 3). Scrub stubborn stains and deposits with an old toothbrush. Dip the brush in the soapy water and scrub the interior of the box.
- 4). Rinse the tackle box clean under running water. Thoroughly rinse out all of the soapy residue.
- 5). Place the tackle box outside to air dry and deodorize. Place the box out of direct sunlight, but in a location that will allow the breeze to move across and in the box.
