- 1). Fish the tube lure in proper conditions. Use it in shallow, clear water with structure.
- 2). Use a spinning rod and reel with light line.
- 3). Cast the tube lure into the structure and allow the lure to fall undisturbed, so that it acts like a dying bait fish.
- 4). Allow the lure to sit on the bottom for a while, then raise your rod tip slowly until you feel the weight of the bait. Pay close attention to the feel of the rod, ready to set the hook if you detect a fish.
- 5). Repeat the lift-and-drop sequence with the lure one or two times. If you don't have any success, retrieve the lure, cast it again, and repeat steps 3 and 4.
