Users may choose between 2 gigabytes of dual-channel DDR3 SDRAM operating at 800 megahertz, or 4 gigabytes of dual channel DDR3 SDRAM operating at 800 megahertz. Hard drive options include a 160 gigabyte SATA II drive operating at 5400 revolutions per minute, a 250-gigabyte SATA II drive operating at 7200 revolutions per minute or a 500 gigabyte SATA II drive also operating at 7200 revolutions per minute. The notebook comes with a "Genuine" installation of the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.
- The M11x comes in one of three case colors: "Cosmic Black," "Soft Touch Stealth Black FT" and "Lunar Shadow." The notebook is 11.25 inches wide by 9.19 inches long by 1.29 inches high. It weighs 4.4 pounds. Powering the laptop is an integrated 8-cell Li-ion 64WH battery and a 65-watt power supply. The notebook comes with a 3-in-1 card reader and comes configured for 802.11 b/g/n 10/100 wireless networking.
