    CPU Options

    • The Alienware M11x can be equipped with a choice of one of three CPUs. The first is the Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300, operating at 1.3 gigahertz with an 800-megahertz Front Side Bus and a 3-megabyte cache. The second is the Intel Core i5 520UM, operating at 1.86 gigahertz with a 3-megabyte cache. The third and final available CPU is the Intel Core i7 640UM operating at 1.06 gigahertz with a 3-megabyte cache.

    Video and Display Options

    • The M11x gaming notebook comes equipped with an 11.6-inch "WideHD" WLED display operating at a native resolution of 1366 by 768 with 720p quality. Powering this display is a GeForce GT335M GPU developed by nVidia. This video adapter uses 1024 megabytes of memory. According to the Notebookreview.com reviewer, this card can run newer games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Mass Effect 2 at playable frame rates.

    Memory, Hard Drive and Operating System

    • The M11x notebook has several options for memory and storage. Users may choose between 2 gigabytes of dual-channel DDR3 SDRAM operating at 800 megahertz, or 4 gigabytes of dual channel DDR3 SDRAM operating at 800 megahertz. Hard drive options include a 160 gigabyte SATA II drive operating at 5400 revolutions per minute, a 250-gigabyte SATA II drive operating at 7200 revolutions per minute or a 500 gigabyte SATA II drive also operating at 7200 revolutions per minute. The notebook comes with a "Genuine" installation of the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.

    Physical Dimensions and Expansion

    • The M11x comes in one of three case colors: "Cosmic Black," "Soft Touch Stealth Black FT" and "Lunar Shadow." The notebook is 11.25 inches wide by 9.19 inches long by 1.29 inches high. It weighs 4.4 pounds. Powering the laptop is an integrated 8-cell Li-ion 64WH battery and a 65-watt power supply. The notebook comes with a 3-in-1 card reader and comes configured for 802.11 b/g/n 10/100 wireless networking.
