- 1). Wipe loose dirt from the brass bell with a clean rag.
- 2). Mix 1 tbsp. of salt and flour together. Add enough white vinegar to form a thick paste. Scoop a portion of the mixture onto a damp cloth. For large brass bells, you may need to use more of the ingredients for the cleaning mixture.
- 3). Rub the mixture gently onto the brass bell. Use circular motions and light pressure as you clean the bell surface. Allow the mixture to sit on the bell for an hour.
- 4). Rinse the bell with warm water, and wipe with a cloth to remove all the cleaning mixture. Dry the brass bell with a soft cloth.
- 1). Place the brass bell into the kitchen sink. Squirt the exterior and interior of the bell with ketchup.
- 2). Rub the ketchup onto the bell surface with your fingers. Apply additional ketchup as needed to cover the inside and outside of the bell.
- 3). Wet a cloth with warm water. Wipe the ketchup from the bell with the cloth. Rinse the bell after thoroughly removing the ketchup. Dry the brass bell with a clean cloth.
