- 1). Insert the boot disk into the PC.
- 2). Restart the PC. Press any key when prompted to boot into DOS.
- 3). Type "format x:" and press "Enter," replacing "x" with any of your hard drive letters.
- 4). Press "Y" to confirm.
- 5). Repeat the procedure for the rest of the hard drives on your machine.
