- 1). Clean the countertop with an all-purpose kitchen surface cleaner and wipe away with a paper towel. Rinse with clean water if required by the cleaner's instructions. Dry completely.
- 2). Mix together 1 tbsp. of household bleach and 1 gallon of warm water. Pour the bleach solution into a clean and empty spray bottle.
- 3). Spray the bleach solution over the surface of the countertop. Wipe the countertop with the paper towel without rinsing. Use the paper towel to ensure that every inch of the countertop gets covered by the bleach solution.
- 4). Allow the countertop surface to air dry. Do not use the countertop while it dries.
