- 1). Fill the basin a quarter way full with water and pour the muriatic acid up to the half-way mark of the basin to make a 50-50 solution of water and acid. Be sure to use gloves when handling any acid.
- 2). Soak the object with the oxalates or calcification in the basin for several minutes until most of the buildup is gone.
- 3). Rinse the object off with tap water to remove any excess acid.
