- 1). Fill two 1-gallon jugs with water. When you get to the monument, fill the cleaning bucket with water from one of the jugs, and add a squirt of dish soap to the bucket of water.
- 2). Dip a clean rag into the mixture, and rub it over the marble stone.
- 3). Dip the toothbrush into the soapy water, and scrub the engraved lettering and other crevices.
- 4). Saturate a fresh rag with clean water from the other jug, and rinse the entire monument to remove soapy residue. Allow the stone to air-dry.
