- 1). Unplug the power supply and turn off the Inspiron 8200. Remove the battery by pressing the latch and pulling the battery toward the front of the computer.
- 2). Remove the screw on the memory module cover on the right rear of the bottom panel, with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the memory module cover.
- 3). Spread apart the metal tabs on each side of the RAM module. Lift out the RAM. Insert another RAM module in the socket at a 45-degree angle. Pivot the RAM down until the metal tabs lock into place. Repeat with the other RAM module.
- 4). Replace the memory module cover. Replace the Phillips screw. Replace the battery. Plug in the power supply.
