- 1). Switch off all taps and flushes, before beginning the sewer line repair.
- 2). Set up the sewer camera inside the pipe, in order to find out the exact location of the blockage. This step probably requires professional intervention, unless you have the necessary tools and expertise.
- 3). Use an internal pipe cleaner to blast away any dirt or waste materials stuck in the pipes.
- 4). Use the plastic pipe cutter to cut out the required length of pipe. A household knife can also be used, however pipe cutter will give a cleaner cut.
- 5). Clean the pipe length thoroughly, using primer/cleaner with a brush or a daub. The surface should be completely cleaned of dirt, oil and impurities. Dry the pipe before applying cement.
- 6). Mix the cement solvent combination, and then coat the inside of the broken sewer line with it.
- 7). Insert the plastic pipe inside sewer line.
- 8). Wait for the cement to dry. This takes roughly one hour. The sewer line is now repaired with a plastic pipe lining the inside.
