- Anglers can fish 5 miles of Clear Creek with public access. The Ohio Division of Wildlife stock these waters with brown trout and smallmouth bass in the springtime. Clear Creek adjoins Hocking River and presents ideal fishing opportunities in the spring when fish spawn, although the summer months also provide good fishing as well. The creek offers a number of places for fish to hide from view and as the water warms, fish generally seek out cooler water underneath rocks and debris.
- Clear Creek flows into Lake Ramona, which is also known as Clear Creek Lake for this reason. The lake spans 5 acres and provides anglers plenty of space to fish. The lake offers brown trout and smallmouth bass as well as channel catfish and bluegill. People fish by boat, land, from two piers and docks.
- Clear Creek Lake is located inside Clear Creek Metro Park in Hocking County, Ohio.
The park is located on Clear Creek Road (otherwise known as Hocking County Road 116), which intersects with U.S. 33 just south of the Fairfield/Hocking county line. Clear Creek Road runs through the park for about 7 miles to the town of Revenge. - Officials of Clear Creek Metro Park post signs along Clear Creek Road indicating where people can pull off the road and park, so they can walk to the creek.
- An Ohio fishing license is required to fish Clear Creek. The state sells licenses for residents and nonresidents and offers licenses good for one year, three days or even one day to accommodate all anglers.
Residents and visitors purchase licenses from four locations throughout Hockings County. The four locations include Down’s Bait and Tackle, Grandma Faye’s Grocery, Walmart (Logan) and Rockbridge Outfitters.
