- 1). Clean the inside door jamb stop thoroughly. Remove any dirt and debris on the jambs and the header.
- 2). Measure the header opening with a tape measure. Using the scissors cut a piece of foam weather-strip to the measurement.
- 3). Apply the adhesive side of the foam weather-strip to the header against the door stop. Press firmly all the across to ensure a good seal.
- 4). Measure the left jamb and the right jamb. Cut foam weather-strip for each side according to their respective measurements.
- 5). Attach the adhesive side of the foam to the jamb against the door stop. Press firmly to make sure that the foam adheres to the jamb.
- 6). Measure the bottom of the door from the inside.
- 7). Using a hacksaw cut the door sweep according to the measurement.
- 8). Position the door sweep on the door with the bottom touching the floor lightly. Mark the position of attaching holes with a pencil and set the threshold aside.
- 9). Drill pilot holes for screws using a 3/32-inch bit on the drill.

Position the threshold back in place and attach with screws using a screwdriver.
