- 1). Rinse out the inside of the teapot with warm water before the initial use. This will remove any dust or debris that collected inside the pot when it was manufactured.
- 2). After using it, rinse out the inside of the teapot with warm water and wipe out the inside and outside with a soft cloth. Never use dishwashing detergents on the pot as these will leave behind a film that can alter the tea's taste.
- 3). Dry the teapot off thoroughly after each use to prevent the formation of rust.
- 4). Clean any rust off the surface of the pot with steel wool and water. Once again, avoid the use of soap on the pot.
- 5). Avoid placing the teapot onto a heating element, such as a burner, without the presence of liquid, as this will lead to damage to the enamel that lines the inside of the pot.
