- 1). Remove all contents from inside the cabinets. If the mold is present only outside the cabinets, skip this step.
- 2). Fill a spray bottle with water. Saturate the surface mold with the water. Wipe the mold off the cabinets with a damp cloth. This will lessen the chance of mold spores being released in the air during the cleaning process.
- 3). Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of warm water. Add 1/4 cup of bleach and 2 drops of liquid dish soap. Mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon.
- 4). Saturate a sponge in the mixture. Hold the sponge over the bucket and wring out the excess liquid. The sponge should be damp, not soggy.
- 5). Scrub the cabinets gently with the sponge. When the sponge becomes dirty or dry, submerge it in the solution, and wring out the excess liquid.
- 6). Continue scrubbing the cabinets until all mold is removed. Rinse the cabinets by wiping with a clean, damp cloth. Allow the cabinets to air-dry. Point fans in the direction of the cabinets to speed up the drying process.
