- 1). Shut down your computer by clicking on "Start" followed by the "Turn Off Computer" button. Click on "Turn Off" on the screen that appears. If you are experiencing technical difficulties and this method will not work, hold down the "Power" button for four seconds, and the computer will turn itself off.
- 2). Press the "Power" button once to turn the computer back on. You will see a boot menu followed by the Sony logo. As soon as you see the logo, press the "F2" button repeatedly. If successful, the screen will flash, and you will see the blue BIOS menu.
- 3). Wait for the operating system to load if you did not reach the BIOS menu. Do not turn off the computer until the operating system loads. When it does, turn the computer off following the same method you used in Step 1. It may take a few tries to get into the BIOS menu before the operating system begins to load.
- 4). Use the arrow keys to navigate through the BIOS menu. Your mouse will not work while in this menu. Press the "Enter" button to select a category and use the arrow keys left and right to make changes. When finished, press the "Esc" key. Follow the onscreen instructions to exit BIOS with or without saving the changes you made. When you exit, the computer will boot up as it normally would.
