- Pinnacle Studio is a video-editing software suite with high-definition capabilities. Pinnacle Studio 12, released in June 2008, provides entry-level basic video editing and DVD creation, with more advanced features and plug-ins for professional-level usage. Pinnacle Studio 12 added support for Dolby AC3 sound, as well as other general performance improvements.
- To run Pinnacle Studio 12, you will need to be running Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3, Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 or Windows 7.
- For basic use, you will need an Intel Pentium 2.4 Ghz or higher processor, or an AMD Athlon 1.8 Ghz or higher. If you want to run Pinnacle Studio 12 on Windows Vista or Windows 7, you will need an Intel Pentium HT, or an AMD Athlon 2.4 Ghz or 1.6 Ghz Dual core.
- You will need an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or higher for 1440 x 1080 AVCHD editing, and you will need an Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66 Ghz or higher for 1920 x 1080 AVCHD editing.
- At minimum, you will need 1 GB of memory installed, but for high-definition editing or Windows Vista and Windows 7 use, you will need at least 2 GB.
- You will need a DirectX 9 or 10 compatible graphics card with a minimum of 64 MB of memory. A 128 MB graphics card is required for Windows Vista and Windows 7, with 256 MB recommended. You will need a 256 MB graphics card for high-definition editing.
- To use Pinnacle Studio 12, you will need a DirectX 9 or later compatible sound card.
