- 1). Place the splice barrel into the correct color coded slot on your crimper tool. Squeeze the crimper tool just enough to hold the splice barrel in place.
- 2). Insert one of the bare wire ends into the splice barrel. Squeeze down until it is evenly spliced without cutting through the wires.
- 3). Release the splice barrel. Repeat steps one and two for the opposite end of the splice barrel and second wire.
- 4). Release the splice barrel and wires from the crimping tool. Tug on both wires to make sure they are snug and do not come apart.
- 1). Place the terminal lug into the correct color coded cup on your crimper tool. Squeeze the crimper tool just enough to hold the terminal lug in place.
- 2). Insert the bare end of the wire through the barrel of the terminal lug so 1/8-inch of wire comes through the opposite end. Squeeze down on the wire crimpers so the wire is locked into place without cutting through the wires.
- 3). Release the terminal lug from the crimper tool. Tug on the wire to ensure it is secure.
