- 1). Go over the chip with a fine emery cloth to remove any rust that has formed. Run the emery cloth inside the chip as much as you can reach to loosen and remove any bits of porcelain inside the chip. Avoid the surrounding enamel to prevent scratches in the sink.
- 2). Mix epoxy resin with the recommended hardener in a small container. Dip a cotton swab or a paintbrush smaller than the chip into the resin and apply the resin to the chipped area until the resin sits evenly with the surface of the sink.
- 3). Let the epoxy resin dry completely. The necessary drying time for the resin should be listed on the packaging.
- 4). Dip a cotton swab or small paintbrush into fingernail polish remover and brush around the chipped area to remove any resin that got on the surrounding sink. Swirl the paintbrush or swab over the edges of the filled crack to help the edges blend in with the rest of the sink.
- 5). Apply enamel paint in the same color as your sink to the filled chip. Use a small brush to brush the enamel paint over the dried resin and blend the chipped area in with the rest of the sink.
