- 1). Click "Start" and click "Computer."
- 2). Click on the hard drive under "Hard Disk Drives." A check mark appears when it is selected. Right-click on the hard drive. Click "Properties" from the pop-up menu.
- 3). Click the "General" tab in the "Properties" dialog box. A pie chart appears and the information about how much free space and used space is available on the hard drive.
- 4). Click "OK" to close the "Properties" dialog box.
