- 1). Insert the bootable floppy disk into the disk drive on your PC.
- 2). Download the latest BIOS update for the K7VM3 from the ASRock website. The file is in ".zip" format. Open the .zip file and copy the contents to your boot disk. There are two files inside, ASRFLASH.EXE and the BIOS file. Write down the name of the BIOS file. You will need the file name later.
- 3). Remove the disk and insert it in the computer containing the K7VM3 motherboard, then turn the computer on. If you are on the same computer, just reboot the PC.
- 4). Wait for the computer to boot to the "A:\" prompt. Type "ASRFLASH" followed by a space and the file name of the BIOS file. Press the "Enter" key to start the flash process.
- 5). Eject the floppy disk when the BIOS update is complete. Press the "F2" key as the computer comes back on to enter the BIOS utility.
- 6). Press the right arrow key until "Exit" is highlighted, then scroll down to "Load Default Settings" and press "Enter."
- 7). Highlight "Exit Saving Changes" and press the "Enter" key.
