- 1). Measure out 2 feet of copper wire. Cut the wire, and then use that piece to measure out two more 2-foot-long pieces. You should have three pieces with even lengths. Grasp one end of one of the wires a centimeter from the top and bend it 90 degrees with the pliers so it looks like an upside down L. Bend it back in toward the wire. You should now have a small loop hole. Repeat to make a loop on each of the other two wires. Put all three wires loops through the jump ring. Close the jump ring with the pliers.
- 2). Line up the copper wire pieces in a row and braid them together. Put the left piece over the middle piece, then put the right piece over the middle piece (formerly the left piece). Continue this pattern until the metal wire is braided far enough to go around your wrist.
- 3). Wrap a rubber band at the end of the braid. Trim each piece off about an inch from where the braid stops with wire cutters. Make loops at the ends with the pliers as you did in Step 1. Make these loops as close to the rubber band as possible. Attach the loops onto another jump ring and remove the rubber brand. The braid should now be secured between the two jump rings.
- 4). Add the spring ring clasp to both ends of the bracelet. By using the pliers you can either open the jump ring and put it through the spring ring, or there may be an opening on the spring ring that needs to be closed. Put the bracelet on to be sure that it fits. Shake your wrist once or twice to make sure the bracelet won't fall off.
