- 1). Attach the antenna securely to the Wi-Fi router. Most antenna's screw onto the router if they are not already permanently attached to the router. Do not over-tighten the antenna. Ensure the antenna is in a vertical position, facing up.
- 2). Place the router and antenna in a central location away from electronic objects such as microwaves, televisions or radios. Electronic devices can cause severe interference with Wi-Fi signals.
- 3). Elevate the router and antenna above ground level. The higher up you place the router and antenna, the higher the quality of the Wi-Fi signal will be.
