- 1). Tell your hairdresser where you'd like your part to be when you go in for a haircut. Your hairdresser can cut your hair in a way that will make your middle part cooperate more with the rest of your hair.
- 2). Fill a spray bottle up with warm water and apply a fine mist to the top of your head. Slightly moist hair will be more cooperative when you start working on your part.
- 3). Create your part with a fine-toothed comb. Drag the comb down the center of your head, starting at the front, and move any unruly strands of hair gently to their correct side of the part.
- 4). Use a blowdryer on medium heat right down the part area; the heat will keep the hair in place.
- 5). Fluff the hair around the parted area gently to give it extra volume; you don't want it to look flat or unnatural.
- 6). Repeat these steps as necessary. Repeat more if your hair is particularly stubborn and doesn't like its new part.
