Gateway Solo 9100 Specs

    Processor

    • The Gateway Solo 9100 was equipped with a Intel Mobile Pentium II processor, and was released with the following processor speeds: 233 MHz, 266 MHz, 300 MHz, 333 MHz, 366 MHz and 400 MHz. It possesses an external cache of 512 KB SRAM Pipelined Burst L2 cache. It has an Intel Mobile peripheral component interconnect Set 82440BX (MTXC) core logic, and has a system clock frequency of 66 MHz, with Phoenix Plug and Play Note BIOS and 256 KB Flash ROM.

    LCD

    • The LCD panel in the Gateway Solo 9100 is a 14.1-inch TFT LG screen. It is an XGA display with a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels. It possesses an LCD color depth of 262,144 colors (18-bit).

    Video Card

    • The Gateway Solo 9100 has an MMB4 graphics card, which is based on the TRIDENT Cyber 9397 PCI chipset. It is a 3D graphics accelerator that supports Open GL and possesses 4 MB of standard SGRAM. It has a Cardbus connection to a Zoomed video port on the bottom slot only.

    System Memory

    • The Solo 9100 possesses three SO-DIMM sockets for its main memory, which is expandable to 384 MB, SDRAM only. Available memory modules include 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB and 128 MB, and up to three modules can be installed at the same time.

    Memory Storage

    • The hard disk controller in the Gateway Solo 9100 has two independent bus mastering enhanced integrated device electronics (IDE) channels on the PCI bus, which supports PIO IDE transfers up to 16.6 MB per second. It also supports Ultra DMA Bus Master IDE transfers up to 33 MB per second. The 9100 has a Toshiba SD-C2002 DVD drive that has a constant angular velocity of 1X to 2X, and for CDs, a velocity of 6.9X to 16X.

    Sound Card

    • The Gateway Solo 9100 has a Yamaha 715/704 chipset. It possesses rotary hardware volume control of the left side of the laptop, and has two Altec-Lansing A2524 stereo speakers built into the palm rest. It comes with an omni-directional microphone, located in the middle of the plastic paneling of the keyboard, and comes with Microphone In, Line In, Line Out and Headphone Out audio connectors.

    Dimensions

    • The Gateway Solo 9100 has a width of 12.3 inches, length of 9.6 inches and a height of 2.2 inches. The laptop has a weight of 8 lbs and 13 ounces and an AC adapter weight of 14.6 ounces. In total, it has an overall traveling weight of 10 pounds, with extra battery, case and AC adapter included.
