- 1). Unplug the TP-305 from the wall outlet. Lift the head assembly on the planer to its highest position using the hand crank on the right side of the planer. Unscrew the two knobs on the cutter head guard at the top of the planer using your fingers, then take off the cutter head guard.
- 2). Unfasten the six screws holding the blade to the planer using the TP-305 wrench, which should be held in a pocket just to the right of the hand crank. Put the knife transfer tool onto the edge of the blade, and use it to pull the blade out of the housing.
- 3). Set a replacement blade on the cutter head of the knife transfer tool. Make sure the bevel on the blade is pointing up underneath the locking bar that runs the width of the cutter head, and the pins on the sides of the cutter head are aligned with the holes in the blade. Tighten the screws using the TP-305 wrench.
- 4). Rotate the cutter head 180 degrees by hand. Repeat the above steps for the remaining blade. Reinstall the cutter head guard using the stock knobs and your fingers.
