- 1). Make a pencil mark on the drywall in the location where a heavy bracket will be installed. Place the pencil tip through each screw hole on the bracket to mark its location on the drywall surface. Push the tip of a Phillips screwdriver completely through the drywall at each mark.
- 2). Push the metal head of a toggle anchor completely through each hole and into the wall cavity. If necessary, use the screwdriver to help push the metal head through the drywall hole.
- 3). Slide each plastic collar along the plastic straps so they rest against the drywall surface. Pull the plastic straps to position the metal head against the drywall surface inside the wall cavity.
- 4). Cut off each plastic strap with a utility knife so they are flush with the plastic collars. Position the bracket against the drywall so the holes in the bracket line up with the plastic collars. Install the supplied bolts through the bracket holes and into the plastic collars, tightening them with the screwdriver.
