- 1). Connect the rectangular 15-pin VGA cable from the computer to the VGA input on the projector. This video cable has an oblong connector with 15 male connector pins and two screw fittings to lock the cable in place.
- 2). Activate the PC and projector by powering both units on via their respective power buttons. Insert the picture CD-R into the computer. Access the CD/DVD tray of the PC by locating the "Eject" button on the side or front of the computer. Insert the disc label side up.
- 3). Access the correct input on the projector by pressing the "input" or "source" button on either the projector itself or on the unit's remote control. Provided that the VGA cable has been connected to the projector, the computer should automatically recognize the unit as the connected monitor, in the same way as if a conventional monitor was attached.
- 4). Click on the "Start" button on the toolbar on the bottom left of the desktop. From there, click "My Computer", and examine the CD tray icon. This should indicate the presence of the inserted CD-R. Access the CD-R on the computer by double-clicking on the icon with the mouse. Windows Media Player, a native component of most Windows software packages, should begin playback automatically.
