- Nylon GSM contains fine particles of molybdenum disulphide to enhance its shock absorbing and load bearing properties. It also substantially reduces the amount of friction of liquids passing through it, making it ideal for plastic water pipes.
- This material is known to have a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than other hard plastics, making it ideal for its use in bearings, casings and other machinery running at high temperatures. Similar to other nylons, Nylon GSM also has a low level of water absorption, ensuring a tight fit without leakage.
- Nylon GSM is gradually replacing traditional metal parts for items such as gears and sprockets. It is often a preferred ingredient in gear manufacture because it is cheaper, reduces noise, uses less lubrication and allows for longer gear life.
