- 1). Unplug the Toshiba 20HLV16S from the power outlet or surge protector.
- 2). Locate the HDMI input on the back of the television. This will be a long, flat port and will be toward the right side of the unit. Insert one end of the HDMI cable into this port.
- 3). Locate the HDMI output on the back of the new DVD player. This will be identical to the one on the television. Insert the other end of the cable to this port.
- 4). Plug both the DVD player and the television into a power outlet or surge protector.
- 5). Press the "input" button on the 20HLV16S's remote control and cycle through the video modes until the television shows the "HD" mode. This will be the one for the new DVD player.
