- 1). Turn the Garmin Nuvi 205E on by pressing the "Power" key at the top of the device. Allow it to locate the satellite signal before beginning. This could take a few minutes. Note that you must be outside for the Garmin Nuvi 205E to find the signal.
- 2). Touch "Where to?" from the main menu screen. On the Garmin Nuvi 205E, this will say "Dove si va?"
- 3). Touch the option that says "Address" or "Indirizzo."
- 4). Find and touch the spell city options, labeled "Spell City" or "Scrivi Citta." You will then be able to use the on-screen keyboard to enter the city. Touch "Done" or "Fatto" when you're finished.
- 5). Enter the address and street name of your destination when prompted. Touch "Done" or "Fatto" after entering each.
- 6). Verify that the address you entered is correct. Touch "Go!" or "Vai!" to start your route. The Garmin Nuvi 205E will then give you step-by-step instructions for travelling from your current location to the address you entered.
