There are many different kinds of fears that can trigger stress.
That is the bad news.
The good news is that most, if not all, of this kind of stress can be handled by changing your way of thinking about the issue at hand.
Note how the stress is lessened or stopped in the examples below.
1.
Fear that your children will soon be grown up and leave you alone.
This is a subconscious fear, as well as a very real one for some women.
The way to handle this fear and take the wind out of it is to realize that just because your children will soon be grown, does not necessarily mean that you will be left without love, which is more than likely the basis of this feeling.
Indeed, in today's society there are many avenues of self-help for women to grow and learn beyond their child-caring years.
Check around and find something that you care deeply about and that you can get involved in when your children are grown, and your fear may very well change to a kind of temporary contentment, until your time to spread your wings comes! 2.
Fear that your faithful pet, the one that has been your true friend all these years, is nearing the end of his life.
This is a tough one.
It is a legitimate fear and one that is all too real.
You feel his pain, and it hurts.
And this issue stresses you greatly.
But after you have done all you can to keep him here, close your eyes, hold him and pet him while you can.
Know that he feels your kindness and your love, and he returns the same to you.
This is the best that you can give him, so acknowledge your fear, and don't let it rob you of those happy memories you have of the two of you in days gone by.
You'll always have that part of him with you.
3.
Stress can be caused by the fear that you may lose your job.
The more you wonder and worry about this, the more stress you will be under.
At any rate, you are probably as likely to remain in your job, as you are to lose it.
And worrying constantly about this thing that hasn't happened yet may be very detrimental to your health.
So, do your job to the best of your ability, and until or unless you know otherwise, accept that you are still employed, and quit worrying.
These are but a few things that can cause fear, which in turn can cause stress.
Try to use these examples by thinking about some of the fears that you are under, and develop your own mental changes to help stop the stress.
