• 1). Click the Windows Vista "Start" menu, followed by the "Control Panel."
  
  
• 2). Click the "Programs" option from the available items list.
  
  
• 3). Right-click the "Programs and Features" option and select "Create Shortcut" from the available context menu.
  
  

Individual Program Shortcut

• 1). Click the Windows Vista "Start" menu; click to launch the "Computer" option.
  
  
• 2). Click the disk drive containing the program you wish to create a shortcut for. Typically, programs and stored within the "C" drive.
  
  
• 3). Click the program's home folder, typically found inside the "Program Files" directory.
  
  
• 4). Right-click the program's main "Uninstall" entry, if available. Select "Send to," followed by "Desktop (Create Shortcut)."
