- 1). Prepare the rubber sheeting. With a utility knife, cut two strips of rubber. They should be about 1 inch wide and 2 feet long.
- 2). Install the oars. Place the oars in the oar locks as you would when rowing.
- 3). Mark the oars. With chalk, make a mark where the oars touch the oar locks. Remove the oars.
- 4). Wrap the oars. Start winding the rubber strips around the oars about 3 inches above the chalk mark and continue on down 3 inches below it. Tape the ends in place securely with duct tape.
