- The most common cause for camera discoloration is dirt on the outer covering of the lens. Clean the lens cover with a soft, dry cloth for the best results and to avoid any chance of scratching the cover. Store your Motorola Droid in a safe place, away from sharp, rough or dirty materials to prevent camera discoloration from a dirty or damaged lens cover.
- The Motorola Droid features various settings that allow you to customize the pictures taken with its camera. These settings can adjust the color of the photo to black and white, sepia, blue, red and others. To disable this "discoloration" of your photos, open your camera application and tap on the screen to bring up several options. Choose "Effects" and adjust the settings to your liking to remove any adjustments that may be affecting the color of your pictures.
- The environment in which you are taking pictures with the Motorola Droid's camera can cause discoloration. Take pictures in well-lit areas for the best picture results. Pictures taken in dark environments, or in areas with a unique setup using a variety of different colored lights, can produce undesired results. Experiment with your camera's settings, such flash and zoom controls, to find what works best in a given environment.
- If you've exhausted all other options and are still experiencing the discoloration of pictures taken with the Motorola Droid's camera, you may have some type of internal error. Contact Motorola's customer service department to troubleshoot any software or hardware errors that cannot be fixed yourself.
