- You can access the Rhapsody website and download the Rhapsody software on any computer with Internet access. Whether you have a laptop or a desktop computer, Rhapsody's function remains exactly the same. The website allows you to stream music and buy tracks to keep on your computer hard drive, while the player is a platform to listen to music from your hard drive and songs downloaded for offline play without opening a Web browser.
- Rhapsody allows each user to authorize a maximum of three computers for use with the same Rhapsody account. If you have a laptop and a desktop computer, both of your devices may be authorized to use the same account. You will have to download the Rhapsody player software on both the laptop and computer separately, and then log in on each device with your username and password.
- Because you can only have three authorized computers at once, you must deauthorize one of your three computers before you can authorize a fourth. To deauthorize a computer, go to the "My Account" link at the top of your Rhapsody player or the "My Account" line in the drop-down menu at the top of the Rhapsody website. Choosing "Deauthorize Computer" will allow you to add another laptop or computer to your list of authorized devices.
- More than one user can sign in to the same Rhapsody player on a computer, as long as she has authorized that computer to use her account. To switch between users, just click the "Sign Out" button at the bottom of your player and then "Sign In." Enter your username and password when prompted, and you can immediately begin to use your account on that computer.
