- 1). Select the desired cycle for testing and start the washing machine.
- 2). Open the lid on your KitchenAid washing machine and locate the lid switch. The switch is on the machine under the back edge of the lid. The machine will stop operating when you open the lid.
- 3). Place the blade of a small standard screwdriver on top of the switch and press down to activate the switch. You will know that the switch has been activated when the machine begins to operate again.
