- 1). Press and hold the "Alt" key, which is located on the left side of the BlackBerry Tour keyboard.
- 2). Push and hold the "Shift" key on the right side of the keyboard. This key looks identical to the "Shift" key on the left side of the keyboard, but only the one on the right side will work for the reset.
- 3). Keep those two keys depressed and push the "Backspace/Delete" key, which is located on the right side of the keyboard. The BlackBerry Tour screen will go blank and you can release the buttons. After a few seconds, the Tour will reboot.
- 1). Flip the BlackBerry Tour over so you are looking at the back cover. Locate the small metal tab at the bottom of the battery cover. Push up on the tab and then pull up to remove the battery cover.
- 2). Place your fingernail into the small notch located above the battery, near the right side of the device. Pull out to remove the battery. Wait about five seconds before you continue.
- 3). Slide the battery back into the device. Be sure that the metal contacts on the battery line up with the metal pins in the Tour's battery recess. Slide the top of the battery cover into place, then push down until you hear the rest of the cover snap and connect to the device. When you insert the battery, as long as it has a charge, the device will automatically turn on. Otherwise, plug the Tour into a charger, wait about 10 minutes, and push the red button on the keyboard to turn on the device.
