- 1). Adjust the coaxial cable within the receiver. Ensure the coaxial cable that sits within the Bell ExpressVu receiver's rear "ANT IN" port is tight within the port, otherwise the satellite programming on your TV's picture will be modified and display irregularities affecting its quality. Turn the metal band on the end of the coaxial cable to the right to tighten it within the port and rid yourself of these irregularities.
- 2). Create a clearer, high-definition satellite picture by modifying the Bell ExpressVu receiver's audio/video cable connection. A composite audio/video cable comes standard with the Bell ExpressVu receiver and features a set of prongs on each end of the cable, with each set featuring one yellow, one red and one white prong. Swap out the composite cable with a component cable, which is a higher quality cable that features one blue, one green and one red prong on each end of the cable. Ensure that each set of component prongs is color-matched to the blue, green and red ports on the back of your TV and the back of the Bell ExpressVu receiver.
- 3). Ensure the Bell ExpressVu receiver is connected to the Internet via the Ethernet port on the rear of the device, then press the "Menu" button on your remote control or on the front face of the Bell ExpressVu receiver.
- 4). Choose the "Firmware Update" option from the receiver's menu. Note that the exact listing of this feature may differ slightly among different ExpressVu receiver models. Allow the firmware on the Bell ExpressVu receiver to update, then wait for the device to automatically reboot. The firmware will be modified and updated once this occurs.
