- 1). Measure the exact height from the floor to the electric eye emitter lens.
- 2). Make the same measurement from one end of the shoe box to its center, placing a mark at the same height as that of the electric eye emitter lens.
- 3). Apply a 2-inch wide by 4-inch long rectangle of Gorilla glue on the bottom of the shoe box so the mark you made is in the exact center of the glued area.
- 4). Press a 2-inch wide by 4-inch long cosmetic mirror firmly against the glued surface. Press and hold for two or three minutes until the glue sets.
- 5). Set the cardboard box between one and two feet away from the electric eye so the mirror is facing the eye lens and its light is being reflected back toward itself off of the mirror. Adjust as necessary.
- 6). Once the temporary reflector mirror is in place, lay a two-pound rock on the bottom end of the shoe box to hold it in place.
