- 1). Insert a battery into the bottom of the camera by pulling the release tab and swinging the cover open. Insert it in the correct orientation as shown and close the cover.
- 2). Insert a memory card into the side of the camera by sliding the cover outward and swinging it open. Gently push the card inward until the release tab pops out, and then close the cover.
- 3). Turn on the camera by using the power switch on the back. Rotate the shooting dial to the automatic mode, which has a rounded green icon.
- 4). Aim the camera at the subject and press the shutter button halfway to focus.
- 5). Press the shutter button fully to take the photo. The flash will fire automatically, if necessary.
- 6). Press the playback button, which has an icon of a triangle, to review images. The most recent picture will appear on the LCD display.
- 7). Use the dial on the back of the camera to navigate between images. Use the magnify-plus and magnify-minus buttons to zoom in and out of an image.
- 8). Press the erase button, which has an icon of a trash can, to delete an image. Highlight "Erase" and press the "Set" button to delete it.
- 9). Press the shutter button halfway to return to the regular shooting mode.
