Alright, I completely understand where you are coming from so you don't even need to complain about it to me. If you are on a diet, then it seems like you will get hungry for certain items. But, not just hungry, you will have cravings for certain foods that are stronger than ever before.
The good news is that you will be able to eat some foods that individuals out there say aren't good for you, because everyone needs to give in a little and enjoy their food. However, no matter how much you end up wanting them, these are a few of the foods that you simply cannot eat if you are on a diet.
1. Fast food
This is a very general concept, but believe it or not it's important. You can easily top 1,000 calories with a value meal, and in most places that's just a burger, a side of fries, and a medium or large soft drink. The worst thing about it is that you will probably be hungry again in a short while, as a small burger and a few handfuls of fries aren't exactly a major filler upper.
2. Starbucks (or any fancy coffee) drinks
They might seem harmless, but with the syrups, milks and creamers, other additives (and the coffee itself), your few minutes of fun can actually end up costing you big time. Some average sized drinks (whatever foreign name they want to call them) can run upwards of 500 to 600 calories... per drink!
3. Pizza Hut's meaty P'Zone
I don't really want to single any one company out here as this is supposed to be about advice for overall topics and categories... but I can't resist! The meaty P'Zone itself from Pizza Hut is something you must never eat. It is a very tasty and filling meal, but while it can taste good, it also packs close to 1,500 calories and just under 70 grams of fat.
4. Pop Tarts
While the specific amounts will vary depending on the brand name that you choose, simply by saving time and eating two toaster pastries you could be the proud owner of an addition 400 to 500 calories; and that's just with the plain and simple ones. Just imagine if you got one with frosting and chocolate in it!
5. Cookies and Cream Powerbar (the energy bar)
While they are the maker of a lot of great products, they kind of got this one all messed up. If you end up eating the cookies and cream powerbar you will actually be bringing 250+ calories, 45 grams of your carbohydrates and only 1 gram of fiber. On paper these numbers aren't horrible, but they are actually pretty bad compared to almost all of the other choices that you have for energy bars out there on the market today.
So, while these are all great items in terms of taste and possibly serving their own purpose, you must stay away from these items if you are actually trying to hit results and also see them fast. Look for alternatives, look for something better, or just avoid them if you have to.
