If you have been in the coaching business for quite sometime, I am sure you are aware of the stiff competition online.
Today, coaches and gurus are trying all their might to outplay their competitors to make sure that they'll be able to get more people to sign up to their programs.
If you are one of them, you can improve the overall quality of your offerings by simply using these coaching methods: 1.
Involve your trainees.
Involve your trainees in analyzing their situation or problems before you give them answers or solutions.
Get them to talk about their issues and ask them questions that can get them to think harder.
Let me give you an example; one of my clients was really frustrated because he cannot simply improve his page ranking and he was asking me what he needs to do.
Then, I asked him "what do you think can help in pulling up your ranking?" Then, he goes, "inbound links, SEO, off page optimization tools, HTML tags, and manual submissions to directories".
Then, he stopped for a while and he realized that he was not able to manually submit his website to search engines and he wasn't exerting enough effort in building inbound links.
Through this conversation, you can see that most people know the answers to their questions.
They just need somebody to echo it back to them to realize it.
When you involve people in finding the answers to their questions instead of spoon feeding them the information, they will feel better about themselves.
2.
Follow-up.
As a coach, you need to show some concern over the progress of your trainees.
From time to time, call them up or send them an email to inquire on how well they are doing in the program.
Do they find it challenging? Do they want you to make it much easier for them? Are they having a hard time following along? Do they encounter numerous problems along the way? 3.
Have fun.
You will not be able to make a lasting impression on your clients, even if you are very knowledgeable on your chosen niche, if you bore them to death.
Loosen up when coaching other people as you don't need to sound like a rocket scientist just to earn their trust.
Be upbeat, enthusiastic, friendly, and warm all throughout.
Use conversational tone, share personal experiences, insert jokes whenever appropriate, and make sure that your program spells out great learning experience.
