- 1). Open the tailgate of the Jeep all the way. Leave it open until you're done removing the rear window. If you're lowering the entire soft-top, make sure that you unlatch the front latches, which are located above the windshield on the inside of the Jeep.
- 2). Open the first couple of inches of the sail panel from the sides of the bottom of the rear window. The sail panels are the areas on the right and left sides of the window. In order to access the zippers, open the small sail panel flaps.
- 3). Starting on the right side of the window, unzip a small amount of the zipper.
- 4). Remove the tailgate bar from its cradles by pulling it straight toward you or away from the Jeep. Let the bar hang from the window freely.
- 5). Continue unzipping the rest of the window. When you get to the end of the zipper on the left side, tug the window downward to disconnect the zipper. Remove the window and store it in a safe place.
